This original oil painting by Faith Lund is created using oil and acrylic.  Many layers of acrylic wash build up the surface to create an inviting, textural facade.  Walk down an uneven cobblestone path and approach a stone framed doorway.  Inviting you in, the path is lined with multi-colored gardens.  The potted plants on either side of the doorway add a feeling of symmetry to the asymmetrical composition.  Sunlight dapples on the creeping vines that cover parts of the cottage.  Glints of yellow flowers extend the feel of light.
