This is an original painting by Faith Lund created in acrylics.  The potted Hydrangia's are created with many washes of acrylic to give the rich color and loose effect of the form.  Working with a variety of tones in purple and blue gives the flowers a range of value tone that adds to their vibrancy.  The abstracted washy background melts into the flower forms given them a velvety appearance.
