This is an original painting on canvas by Faith Lund.  Using a layering process of acrylic wash the negative space is softened and contrasts with the impasto oil which accents the tree and flower forms.  The setting is a street in Key West in the Spring.  The colors were so vibrant and vivid as I experienced this view first hand.  You could see the movement in the foliage as the breezes came through which constantly changed the shadowing.  It was as if the seaside house was alive.  With my loose and layered brushwork I feel I captured this mood.
