This original painting by Faith Lund uses oil and acrylic.  The painting was inspired by a Brownstone in Boston.  The window is the vintage of the building and has some stained glass.  I wanted to capture the smokiness of the areas behind the windows and also accent the amazing detail in the architecture.  The many washes of darker, yet rich tones create a wonderful backdrop for the brightness of the flowers.  Sparks of color in the window areas add the the style of the past.
