This original painting by Faith Lund uses many layers of acrylic wash.  The inspiration is stratification of earth.  Imagine various textures contrasting with each other, movement of rock formations, and smaller shapes waiting to unite with the overall image.  Water carrying sediment as the whole is blending as it evolves.  The colors used have an organic effect and add a dramatic contrast to the composition.  Slivers of edge color drifts in and out.  Bright accents create topical reflections.
