In this acrylic painting several levels of intensity exist corresponding to each other in different ways.  The estuary is a combination of texture and highlight created by sun kissed areas of intense color.  Complimenting the land formations is the brightness of the ever flowing water.  The sky exhibit's it's own amazing turmoil which when seen in person has a very atmospheric effect as if subtly moving from one color intensity to the next.  The layering of an intense amount of colored washes creates a visual of naturalism.  A sense of distance is achieved with the slight hint of light on the distant horizon.
