In this painting the over powering color of blue permeates the soul.  It is driven with a variety of tones that melt into each other.  At the horizon the estuary becomes a part of the sky.  The reflections of the sun play on the sky, water, and land creating an interesting dynamic.  The painting transcends from sky to water, to land, to water yet is unified by the ever apparent tones of blue.  The power of color greets us from subtle tonal differences to bright intensity and back again as if we are rolling along with the tide.
